The room I stayed in was super clean and awesome, plus it had a full kitchen - which was a great bonus! 🍳 I also felt safe knowing that there were smoke detectors in place. the location was really cool and had a nice vibe, plus it was just a short walk from Pedestrian Drama. Overall, a great place to stay!

Older, needed metal key, loud, small room, rough towels, felt more like a motel.

We stayed at the Astor because we couldn't find a room anywhere else. We were looking for a luxury city hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we liked it. It is conveniently located, parking is inexpensive, the staff was helpful and upgraded us to a suite because no king beds were available, the room was very comfortable, loved the bed, and although the bathroom has not been updated it was clean and serviceable. What a great place for the price!
Carpet was stained.

The historic hotel is conveniently located near downtown Milwaukee and offers a free shuttle service. The beds were comfortable and the architecture added to the charming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially Vanessa at check-in. The unique features, like dry cleaning drop-off and mail slots, added to the overall enjoyable stay.

The initial room we were given was small, cold and looked tired. However the staff readily allocated us a studio upgrade for $15/night which was in much better condition and represented excellent value for money.

Location
Room was dusty-moldy, like an attic, I developed wheezing allergy in chest, itching under chin, that took a couple of days to recover from. Room dark & gloomy. No place for two to sit.
